Hi, my name is Mike Schultz, and I'm the Vice President of Innovation and Development for the Vascular Technologies Division of Spectrum Plastics Group. I want to take a minute to share with you some exciting technology that our team is offering in steerable and deflectable sheaths.

As interventional procedures continue to advance and improve, more and more devices are requiring access sheaths that are fine-tuned to deliver a particular device to a precise location. In order to support this need, Spectrum Plastics Group has developed standard configurations of sheaths and handles that are readily available for your testing and development and can be customized or fine-tuned for your particular application.

In my hands, I have a 14 French steerable sheath. It is braid-reinforced for outstanding torque response and kink resistance. At the proximal end of the catheter is an ergonomic and comfortable handle which can be actuated with one hand. As you can see, the position of the knob controls the deflection of the tip through a range of motion. The bend radius and angle of this distal tip is readily configurable to your specifications.

Furthermore, we offer two-way steerable, even four-way and multiplanar steerable sheaths for those more specialized procedures. Hopefully, this video has given you some idea of the available technology and the range of options available to your design team.

Please contact Spectrum Plastics Group with your particular requirements, and we will be happy to begin providing solutions that will accelerate your steerable or deflectable sheath project to a successful launch.

Thanks for watching.
